1. Sign in to your Merchant Center account
  2. In settings under the Tools menu, select Sales tax
  3. Click on the Tax Settings tab
  4. When you click Advanced settings, the list of all states will appear.
    For each state where you’d like to charge sales tax:

    1. Click the toggle to select the state.
    2. For “Tax rate,” choose either:
      • “Google-determined sales tax” (Automatic setup) to let Google estimate the rate based on the location of the customer, or
      • “Custom sales tax” (Manual setup) to enter a specific rate to charge for the entire state.
    3. If you charge tax on shipping, select Tax on shipping.
  5. Click Save at the bottom of the page once you’ve configured taxes for each of the selected states.
